Ramona Ruth Thomas Truman, 91, formerly of Charleston, passed away on September 7, 2023, in Canal Winchester, Ohio, after a short illness.

A proud Charleston High School graduate (Class of 1950), Ramona was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. She would do everything in her power to help someone in need. In addition to raising her three children Ramona (aka Mommy Tommy) cherished her time babysitting for 19 children throughout the years. Ramona spent many years working in the trucking industry throughout the Kanawha Valley before starting her family.

Ramona was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Loyd Mack Truman, her parents, Robert and Ella Thomas; and eight brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Leta Jean) of Pickerington, OH, Timothy (Lori) of Gaithersburg, MD; her daughter, Lisa of Charleston; three grandchildren, Joseph Payne, Michael Payne, Gwenhwyvar Truman; and Lucky, her loyal dog that brought her so much joy and happiness.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Family will receive visitors in Cunningham Memorial Park Upper Chapel at 10:30 a.m.
