Ray "Hutch" Hutchison, 84, of Charleston, peacefully passed with his wife and girls by his side on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

He was born on February 2, 1938 in Roane County, to the late Henry and Geneva Hutchison.

Ray worked for Bell Lines, Smith Transfer and Carolina Freight, where he made life-long friends, who fondly knew him as "Hutch". He adored his four grandchildren, and was very close with his wife's side of the family, the Smiths.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Karen Hutchison; daughters, Debbie Grishaber (Scott Thompson), Laura Creasey (Todd); grandchildren, Elizabeth Grishaber, Sam Grishaber, Stacy Creasey, Leslie Creasey; brother, Paul Hutchison; and sisters, Martha Hutchison, Diane Atkinson.

The family would like to thank his brother-in-law, John Smith, for being there for anything the family needed at a moments notice. Also a thank you to the host of angels provided by the Hubbard Hospice House.

Per his wishes there will be no services.
