Raymond E. DeBolt, 85, of Sebring, Florida, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025.

Born on August 9, 1939, in Charleston, West Virginia, to Edward L. and Freda DeBolt.  Raymond graduated from Charleston High School in 1957.  Shortly after, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving his country with dedication until 1961.  Upon returning home, he met and married Sharon Kay Rhodes, beginning a loving marriage of 63 years.

Raymond began his professional career with the Charleston Fire Department, where he served with distinction as Assistant Chief, until his retirement.  Following his time at the fire department, he continued his commitment to Public Service as the Director of Emergency Services for the City of Charleston.

In their later years, Raymond and Sharon enjoyed their love of travel as RV snowbirds before settling permanently  in Sebring, Florida.  A fan of West Virginia University Football, Raymond and Sharon made many RV trips to cheer on the Mountaineers.  In Florida, Raymond enjoyed fishing and participating in social activities with their friends and neighbors.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Kay DeBolt; three children, Edward DeBolt (Kimberlie), Kevin DeBolt (Rebecca), and Malena Bernas (Brian); six grandchildren, Hannah DeBolt (Shane), Jonathan DeBolt, Joshua DeBolt (Kelly), Sarah Oosterom (David), Jacob Bernas and Savannah Bernas; and three great-grandchildren, Brantley DeBolt, Owen DeBolt, and Ava DeBolt.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, West Virginia.

Family will welcome visitors from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, West Virginia.
