Raymond Dorsey Gandee's Obituary
Raymond Dorsey Gandee, 69, of Dunbar, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Hubbard Hospice House West after a long illness.
He was a former utility worker at Clearon and enjoyed going bowling and fishing. Raymond was a very kind and loving person, who never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Gandee; parents, William Darrell and Opal Gandee; and brother, Ronald Keith Gandee.
Raymond is survived by his fiancé, Vanessa Ann Smoot; sons, Raymond Dorsey Gandee Jr. and Christopher Gandee; brothers, William Darrell Gandee Jr., Garyson Garrett Gandee, Donald Ray Gandee, John Allen Gandee, David Wayne Gandee, and Randall Kent Gandee; and sisters, Betty Good, and Margaret Ann McCallister. Raymond is also survived by five grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, September 10, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Reverend Kevin Witcher officiating.
Friends may call on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to American Cancer Society 816 Lee Street, Charleston, WV 25301.
