Raymond Harold Huffman, 67, of St. Albans, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2008, at his home after a long illness.
He was a retired plumber and pipefitter and a member of the Local Plumber & Pipefitters Union #624. He was also a member and Past Patron of Eastern Star Saint Albans Lodge #105, Dunbar Masonic Lodge where he served as Past Master three times, Scottish Rite, Past High Priest of the Tyrian Chapter of York Rite, Beni Kedem Shrine, Tiskelwah 45, and Past Commander of The Knights Templar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lovell George and Ruth Douglas Huffman and by brothers, Billy and Hubert Huffman.
Surviving are his loving wife, Alice Kaye Rutledge Huffman; daughters, Sheila Jarrett of St. Albans, Stephanie Walker and her husband, Mark of St. Albans, Brooke Ann Huffman, at home and special friend, daughter Kno'Shavia Sampson; grandson, Brandon Hayes of Washington State, granddaughter, Danielle Hayes of St. Albans; nieces, Gail Huffman and her daughters of Dunbar, Shara Bartina Huffman of Hurricane, Pamela Johnson and her husband, Billy of Charleston; nephews, Billy Huffman and Vernon Lucero and family; step-mother, Thelma Huffman of Kanawha City; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 1, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Nahum Balser officiating. Burial with Masonic graveside rites will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 30, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, where an Order of Eastern Star Service will take place at7 p.m.
