Richard R. "Dick" Byers, 72, of St. Albans, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009, at the Golden Living-Riverside Center. He was retired from the Boilermaker's Local #667 in Winfield.

Surviving are his daughter, Kym Byers of Dunbar; son, Stephen D. Byers and his wife, Kelly of Belle; brother, Lewis Dean Byers of Dunbar; sister, Julia L. Byers of Charleston; and one granddaughter, Savanna.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at Grandview Memorial Park with the Rev. Frank Chapman officiating.

Friends may call from 12 noon to 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. The procession will then depart for the cemetery.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of the Golden Living Center for their wonderful care over the past years and also to HospiceCare for all of their assistance.
