Richard Byron Copley, 55, of Charleston passed away Sept. 3, 2006 at his home.
Richard was a kind and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved music and the outdoors and lived life to the fullest. He had a good sense of humor and liked to entertain.
He was a US Navy veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a hydraulic mechanic and worked in California, Florida and West Virginia. He was a lifelong resident of WV. He will be truly missed by those who really new and loved him. Now he is in a better place. His memory will live on.
Surviving are his loving ex-wife and caregiver, Eva F. Copley; sons, Timothy Byron Copley and Richard David Copley of Charleston; brothers, Jimmy, Allen and Tommy Copley of Charleston and Spike Copley of Tennessee; grandchildren, Makayla Nicole Copley, Nathaniel Byron Copley and one grandchild is expected. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, September 11, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Evangelist Jennifer Mears officiating.
