Obituary

Richard A. Lacy, 74, of Big Tyler Mountain, his pain was taken away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at home with his family.

He was a St. Albans High School graduate of the class of 1969, and was drafted into the Army in 1970 to serve in Vietnam. He worked as a parts sales manager at many dealerships in the valley for over 40 years.

Dick loved hunting in Ohio with his cousins, his boys, and his grandchildren followed. What moments they all had together.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother; and a wonderful Dad-In-Law.

Dick is survived by his wife of 54 years, Tonya; his sons, Brandon (Becky), Barth (Mandy); his most treasured grandchildren, Lindee, Abgirl, Wyatt, Adam, Shelby; and is waiting on his first great granddaughter, June Sophia; his granddogs, Maise and Maddie (who visited at the hospital); and his sister, Sande (Skip) of Georgia. His wife's uncles became Dick's new family and he was one of them.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar, with Preacher Jim Russell officiating.

Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. A procession will leave from there going to Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Hershel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center, attn: Veterans "Coffee and Snack Station" 1540 Spring Valley Drive, Huntington, WV 25704.

The family would like to thank the VA for their care, love and compassion they showed Dick. They became a part of the family during this time.
