Richard Ray Starkey, 65, of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.

He was born on February 6, 1953, in South Charleston, to Ray and Pauline Starkey.

Rick was a 1971 graduate of Dunbar High School. He moved to Fayetteville when he got married in 1974. He retired from United Steel Workers Union in Charleston.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Ann Starkey.

In addition to his parents, Richard is survived by his brother, Steve Starkey of Fayetteville; sisters, Pam Starkey of St. Albans, and Jo-Ann Hayes and her husband Ralph of Hurricane; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit from 2 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 19, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 20, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
