Obituary

Richard "Kevin" Taylor, 45, of Dunbar died Friday, March 5, 2010, at Cabell Huntington Hospital of a sudden illness.

He was born in Charleston on September 28, 1964, to Lewis Taylor and the late Barbara Taylor of Dunbar.

He was previously employed by Jim Minnick's Parts and Engines for 27 years. He was also a volunteer for the Dunbar Fire Department for 25 years and a Dive Master for Dive Tech Scuba and Sports. He loved spending time with his family, friends and babies, Scooby, Casper, Mocha, Mary and Romeo. He also enjoyed photography, music, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his father, he is survived by the love of his life, Lisa Justice Taylor and one sister, Kimberly Taylor of Dunbar. He will also be missed by his nephews; Brad and his wife, Casey Camp of Spencer, Derrick Camp of Parkersburg, Riley White of Spencer and one great nephew, Gavin Michael Camp of Spencer.

Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents; Bruce and Anna Taylor of Spencer originally from Walton and Lonzo Whited and Reba Whited Bird of Walton.

Kevin's legacy was that of being a good husband, a loving son and brother, a giving neighbor, a trusted friend and dependable, hard worker. He never failed to tell a joke or pull a prank that could lighten the heart.

A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, March 10th, 11am at Keller Funeral Home and burial will follow at the Rocky Branch Cemetery in Walton.

Friends may gather with the family from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 9th, at Keller Funeral Home in Dunbar.
