Ricky A. Garretson's Obituary
Ricky A. Garretson, 52, of Dunbar passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014, at Thomas Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He was an eight year volunteer for the Charleston Blvd. Rod and Run and Doo Wop, was an avid fisherman, and loved John Wayne westerns. Ricky was employed by the West Virginia Department of Highways, North Charleston Division.
He was preceded in death by his father, Benot F. Garretson, Jr .
Ricky is survived by his mother, Jo Ann (Straughan) Garretson; brother, Paul L. Garretson and wife, Michele; aunt, Patsy (Lloyd) McIntyre of Charleston; uncles, William (Henrietta) Straughan of Roebuck, SC and Harry (Kathy) Straughan of Strongsville, OH; and several cousins.
Graveside service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, August 6 at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar, with Lloyd E. McIntyre III officiating. Friends and family will begin to gather at 10:30 a.m. at the cemetery.
Arrangements are in care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
