Robert E. Chapman's Obituary
Robert E. Chapman, Jr., 64, of Nitro, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness.
He was the longtime restaurant owner of Family Kitchen Restaurant in Dunbar. He was a friend to many and beloved by his family members. Mr. Chapman was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Chapman, Sr., and his sister, Mary Slaton.
Surviving are his mother, Lillian Chapman; sons, Robert E. Chapman III, Christopher B. Chapman, and Matthew G. Chapman; his ex-wife, Donna K. Chapman; grandchildren, Elise K. Chapman, Collin F. Chapman, and Elaina M. Chapman; brothers, Steven Chapman (Tracy) and John Chapman (Dorothy); sisters, Barbara Fletcher (Ray), Carol Spartman (Proctor), Rhonda Young (Greg), Jean White, Sue Chapman, Nancy Sanger, and Cheryl Chapman.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 17, at Keller Funeral Home in Dunbar.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
