Robert E. Cramer, 85, of South Charleston, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 2, 2007 after an extended illness.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of South Charleston, Dunbar Lodge #159 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies of Charleston, and a past master of Spring Hill #140 International Order of Odd Fellows. He spent many joy-filled years as a Captain of The Charleston Usher Service, and one of the proudest moments was as a recipient of the Hometown Hero Award received for his outstanding service to the South Charleston community. Bob retired from Union Carbide after thirty-eight years of service.
Bob will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 65 years, Elaine, daughter, Patricia Schrader, sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Donna Cramer, and Bryant and Peggy Cramer all of South Charleston. He will also be missed by granddaughters, Melinda White, Jaime Urban, Amy Cramer, and Jessica Cramer; grandsons, Robert Cramer and Joshua Schrader, and great grandchildren, Katherine, Kirsten, and Hunter White.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 6, at First Baptist Church of South Charleston with the Rev. Jody Pistore officiating. Burial with Masonic graveside rites will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
