Robert Earl Smith, 81, of Vincent, Ohio passed away peacefully July 9, 2018.

He was retired from Republic Steele in Canton, Ohio where he was a first class journeyman machinist for 44 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He used his kindness and love of learning to mentor and support his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Clifford Smith and Vera (Kollar) Smith-Barnette.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Smith of Vincent, Ohio; daughter, Susan Adkins and husband David of Dunbar, WV; sons, Carl Church of Massillon Ohio, John Church and wife Cherryl of Canton, Ohio, George Church and wife Kelley of Canton Ohio; sisters, Diane Beagle, Sarah Stanley, and Donna Mills all of Dover Ohio; seven grandchildren, four great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 12 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Minister Geoff Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, WV.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
