Robert Neal "Bob" Huston, 83, of Dunbar went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2010.
Bob was born at Charleston on November 1, 1926 to the late Arthur and Emma (Buckner) Huston. Bob worked in many areas as a general contractor, building businesses and churches. His Christian influence was evident in his walk through life. He enjoyed wood working, painting, toy trains, and building Legos with his grandchildren. He was a World War II Navy veteran who was proud to serve his country. He had been an employee of Union Carbide and was a member of Civitan Club. He also served as councilman on the Dunbar City Council.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill Huston.
Mr. Huston is survived by his wife, Dolores Haynes Huston; daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Danny Finney of Dunbar, Rhea and Byron Mills of Maysville, KY; grandchildren, Jason Finney, Jamie Finney, Emily Mills, Addison Mills and Caleb Mills; great granddaughter, Madison Finney.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 8 at Charleston First Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Randy Lanham officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
