Obituary

Robert Orville McMillion, 77, of South Charleston was born on March 25, 1937 and went home to be with the Lord after a long illness on Thursday, November 6, 2014.

Coal miner, truck driver and devoted Christian, Robert's work ethic was admired by all. He attended Dunbar Mountain Mission church and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

His family finds comfort in knowing he is at peace and without pain, safe in the arms of his Heavenly Father.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Dola and Audrey McMillion; brother, Marvin McMillion; and sister, Dolly Haynes.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Faye McMillion; daughters and sons-in-laws, Donna and Terry Massey of South Charleston, and Tammy James and Gary Parsons of Clearwater, Fla; brother, Billy McMillion; sisters, Garnet Starcher and Patricia Casto all of Kanawha Two Mile. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren, Robert Massey of South Charleston, Shelly James of Charleston, Anita Massey-Chambers of South Charleston, Justin James of Charleston, Joshua James of Clearwater, Fla., Andrew Parsons of Teays Valley, Bethany Parsons of Teays Valley; and seven great-grandchildren, Audrey, Taylor, Isaac, Bradley, Grayson, Brock and Braelynn, all of whom brought so much joy to his life.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 9 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor James "Speedy" Arthur presiding. Burial will follow in Fox Hill Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 8 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
