Robert E. "Mac" McVicker, 54, of Dunbar, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Hubbard Hospice House West after a short illness.

He was employed by the WV Department of Highways as a truck driver and was a US Army veteran.

Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis E. and Catherine Kinsolving and Mr. and Mrs. Palmer and Mary Ann McVicker.

Surviving are his parents, Robert L. "Bob" and Nancy McVicker of Cross Lanes; sister, Judi Jones and her husband, Dale of Cross Lanes; niece, Jessica Erin Lucas and her husband, James of Teays Valley. Robert is also survived by several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 19 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Michael Davis, Pastor C. T. Mathews and Pastor Bryan Mathews officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Hubbard Hospice House West for all of their wonderful care and kindnesses and to the many friends and neighbors who also provided assistance to Robert and his family in many different ways.
