Robert Earl Rubin, 71, of Huntington, left his earthly body on Monday, February 24, 2020.

He was born on January 16, 1949, in South Charleston, to the late Charles and Julia Rubin.

Bob was an employee of Rudd Equipment Company in Nitro for 33 years. In his spare time he loved to go fishing and tinkering on cars. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather who worked hard to provide for his family. In his later years much of his time was spent watching westerns, crime shows, and the History channel. Joy was brought to him in the midst of his pain through his special bond with his grandson, Holden.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Beddard.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Beth Rubin; children, Joshua Kinder (Amy) of Dunbar, Daniel Kinder of Huntington, Brittany Sigmon (Anthony Davis) of Huntington, Nikki Miller (Darren) of Huntington, Kimberly Beitz of St. Albans; grandchildren, Jordan, Brennon, Dustin, Taylor, Holden; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Jenny Smith (Randall) of Mocksville, NC, Phyllis Kulp of Mocksville, NC, brothers, Charles Rubin of Mocksville, NC, Rodney Rubin of Mocksville, NC; special cousin, Karen McCallister of Winfield; beloved dog Chewy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 29, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Rob Reed officiating.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
