Robert Wayne Samples, 65, of Dunbar, went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2017 after a long illness.

Robert retired from Kanawha County Schools, where he drove school buses for many years. He also worked at Dunbar Transfer for over twenty years. Robert was a member of Dunbar Masonic Lodge #159.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lois Samples; and brother, Harold Samples.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Vickie Samples; daughter, Sarah Heaberlin and her husband, Travis, of Dunbar; and grandchildren, Laynie and Mylie Heaberlin.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Robert at 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Teresa Markins officiating.

Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
