Robert William Yoder stepped into heaven on Thursday, May 14, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was at home, surrounded by his girls when he found himself in the presence of Jesus. Bob loved his wife, Rita, and his daughters, Katherine, Marybeth and Elizabeth. He was a father to three beautiful girls but a Daddy Bob to many.

Daddy Bob like airplanes, racing cars and listening to his girls play the piano, but he loved Jesus. He held on to God's promise in Psalms 118:17-19: "I will not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord…"

Bob was a manager and computer consultant for Kroger Co., the director of technology at Teays Valley Christian School, statistician for TVCS basketball games and a board member of the Scott Depot Christ Fellowship, "The Depot."

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 18, at the Scott Depot Christ Fellowship, with Pastor Rodney Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, May 17, at the Scott Depot Christ Fellowship, 4345 Teays Valley Road, Scott Depot, WV 25560.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Teays Valley Christian School, 4373 Teays Valley Road, Scott Depot, WV 25560.
