On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, Robin Lee Spears, beloved husband and father was called home to be with the Lord at age 69.
He was born on May 27, 1953 to the late Jefferson Ambrose Spears and Betty Louise Spears.
Robin devoted his life to Jesus at an early age and was a member of Dunbar Mountain Mission Church.
He graduated from Man High School in 1971 and was a member of the band, an accomplished saxophone player, was in the science club and the art club. Robin then attended Center College in Charleston where he earned degree in HVAC. He was so proud to say he completed this course and graduated alongside his father.
Robin held various jobs throughout the years, but he was most proud of his work as a machinist and metal worker at Kanawha Manufacturing.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing and gaming. Robin found pleasure in his wood workshop where he created many treasures for family and friends. He had a great interest in science fiction and and fantasy genres, which he passed on to all his children.
Robin is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 26 years, Charlotte Spears of Dunbar; children, Melody (Roy) Carte, David Spears, Gregory (Jennifer) Spears, Jessica (Joey) Seabolt, Jeremy (Amber) Ray, Lauren (Carlos) Wideman and Caleb Spears; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Terrance (Patsy) Spears of Paducah, KY and Christopher Spears of Man; sister, Nancy (Greg) Pennington of Leon; and a host of nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m on Saturday, November 12, at Dunbar Mountain Mission Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Hubbard Hospice House West, 4605 MacCorkle Ave SW, South Charleston, WV 25309.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
