Obituary

Rodney L. "Moe" McMillion, 55 years old, of Sissonville, went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife on Wednesday, February 17, 2010.

He was the son of Josephine McMillion and the late Leroy McMillion, Sr., aka Papaw Rawls and Mamaw Jo.

He was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of the Walker Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing before his accident in 2000. He also loved to spend time at his father's camp in Wirt County. He was a very skilled carpenter for 34 years.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Deborah (Oxley) McMillion , infant son, Jamie McMillion, his father, Leroy McMillion, Sr., brother, Danny McMillion, nephew, Kevin (Lester) McMillion , niece, Amanda McMillion, brother-in-law, Allen (Dickie) Oxley, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Emogene Oxley.

He is survived by two sons, Jason McMillion and Jonathan McMillion; one daughter, Melissa McMillion, daughter-in-law, Amber McMillion, all of Sissonville; six grandchildren, Andrew, Dakota, Karsyn, Courtney, all of Sissonville and Megean and Anthony of Ripley; mother, Josephine McMillion of Sissonville; two sisters, Donna and Erica McMillion, three brothers and their wives, Leroy Jr, and Kimberly McMillion, Ronnie and Linda McMillion and Dale McMillion and his companion, Stephanie, all of Sissonville; two sisters-in-law, Wyvette Oxley, Marilyn Oxley, both of Sissonville, three brothers-in-law and their wives, Keith and Betty Oxley of Cross Lanes, Terry and Carolyn Oxley of Sissonville and Dana Oxley of Fort Myers, Fla. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was loved by all.

The family wishes to express thanks to Scott and the rest of the HospiceCare staff.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, February 21, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Walter Means officiating. Burial will follow in Boyd-Burdette Cemetery, Tuppers Creek.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
