Roger Dale Droddy, 73, of Dunbar, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 2, 2021, at CAMC General Hospital.

He graduated from South Charleston High School and West Virginia State College (now University). Roger was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Marine Corp and retired from Clearon Corporation. He enjoyed competition and trap shooting.

Roger loved nothing more than spending time with "The Gang"; Gabby, Sam, Pete, Rick and Mikel.

He is preceded in death by his son, Travis Droddy; parents, Earl "Pete" and Nila Droddy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Droddy; daughter, Christina Elswick (Chris); daughter-in-law, Tammy Droddy; grandchildren, Courtney, Christin, Dylan and Austin; sister, Judie Harris (Bill) of Simpsonville, SC, Cindy Forsyth (Fred) of Flemington; brother-in-law, John McCallister (Liz) of Mansfield, OH; a ton of nieces and nephews, several of whom he was really close to; and several cousins.

A visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

There is no service scheduled at this time.
