Ronald P. Bush, 81, of Dunbar left this world on September 30, 2024.

He was born on May 5, 1943 in Covington, VA to the late Benjamin and Hazel Bush.

Ron graduated from Dunbar High School in 1962.  He then served in the Army for three years.  Ron retired from the Army National Guard as a First Sargent with 26 years of service.  He also retired from Chem Valley Machine, and was a member of Nitro Church of God.

In his retirement, he enjoyed watching sports, visiting family, and keeping Sharon on her toes.  Ron was a friendly fella who could talk to anyone and loved every minute of it.

Ron is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sharon; son, Ronald Bush (Laura); daughter, Gwenith Bowen both of Covington, VA; stepson, Dana Mitchell (Crystal) of Dunbar; sister, Hazel Lee Livesay of Charlottesville, VA; two grandsons, three granddaughters, and four great-grandkids.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor David McCormick officiating.  Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans at a late date.

Family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
