Ronald K. "Pokey" Powers, 64 of Charleston went home Friday, June 14, 2013, to get his reward after a long and hard fight with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Ronnie was the son of the late William and Marguerite Robertson Powers.
Ronnie was an electrician and member of Local 466 IBEW union for 45 years. He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School, class of 1966. Ronnie loved life and music and sports. He attended Maranatha Fellowship in St. Albans for many years and loved the Lord.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Branham Powers; sister, Brenda Black of Indiana, Barbara Eaves of South Carolina; brother, Bill Powers of Bruceton Mills; half-brother, Floyd Angelo and half-sister, Helen McCubbin. Important to Ronnie were many special nieces and nephews, plus many special people he cared deeply about.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, and funeral services will be Monday, June 17 at 1 p.m. at Maranatha Fellowship, St. Albans. There will be a one hour visitation prior to
services on Monday. Officiating will be Rev. David Bess and Rev. Terry Hogue. Burial will follow the service at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
