Obituary

Family and friends celebrate the life of Ronald Scott McGraw of Cross Lanes, who was born on November 3, 1964 and left this life on January 12, 2013 at the age of 48.

Raised in Dunbar, Scott graduated as an accomplished tennis player from Dunbar High School in 1983 and continued his studies at Marshall University. He was president of Central Glass Company, Inc. of Charleston. Previously, he worked in hospitality management in Myrtle Beach, Seabrook Island, and Atlanta, GA. Scott was a member of Humphreys Memorial United Methodist Church and also enjoyed attending services at The Bible Center.

Among the many members of his family and friends who cherish his memory, he will be especially missed by his sister and brother-in-law, Lynn McGraw and Rodney Engle of St. Albans, his sister, Teresa Williams, and his niece and nephew, Rachel and Jeffery Williams of Nitro. He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald D. McGraw and his mother, Carolyn Kidd McGraw.

Reading, exploring any big city, country road or beach, and cooking were only a few of Scott's many passions. He loved playing tennis and basketball and was an avid golfer. He particularly enjoyed live music and athletic events. Above all, Scott treasured his time with Kelly, the beloved family dog and his best buddy.

Visitation will be held at Keller Funeral Home in Dunbar on Saturday, January 19th from 12 noon until 2 pm. A celebration of Scott's life will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Loretta Isaiah officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Woodland Cemetery in Cedar Grove. The family kindly suggests that donations be made to one of Scott's favorite organizations, WVPBS.
