Obituary

There was a grand homecoming celebration as Rose Ann Grose departed this life and crossed over into her Savior's arms on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007.

Rose Ann was a member of Northside Church of the Nazarene where she was a very involved and active member. Rose carried a burden for the lost and spent the past 36 years of her life trying to win others to the Christ she so loved.

Rose Ann fulfilled the Scripture in 2 Timothy 4:7, she fought the good fight, she finished the race and most importantly she kept the faith. Rose had a 3 year battle with health problems, which wracked her body with pain and agony, but in the midst of her suffering she continued to be a witness to all that knew her. She longed for others to know her Savior who had been faithful in never failing or forsaking her. Her burden for others remained with her until her death. As a matter of fact, if you are reading this and do not know Christ as your Savior, she would want to tell you that He is the only way to heaven, of which she is now a resident!

Rose was born May 28, 1935, the daughter of the late, Evelyn Gillam, and the late the Rev. Victor Gillam. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ember McDerment.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Grose; daughters, Kay at home and Cheryl Addison of Racine; sister and brother-in-law, Corena and Danny Kiser of Columbus; brother and sister-in-law, Victor Lee and Betty Gillam of Westerville, OH; step-mother, Norma Gillam of Chapmanville; half-brother, Tom Gillam of Cary, NC; three granddaughters and two great grandsons.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Jerry Cline officiating. Burial will be at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.

Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 9, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
