Rosie Madeline Nelson, 77, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 26, 2012.
She was a mother of 6, and daughter of the late Troy E. and Rosy L. Workman of Summersville. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde E. Nelson, son, Ronnie S. Nelson, and several brothers and sisters.
A devoted mother, she leaves behind to mourn her passing, daughters, Faye Parsons and husband Gary of Sutton, Linda Ashley and husband Tim of St. Albans, Donna King and husband Randy of South Charleston, Lou Ann Elswick and husband Rocky of Hurricane, and son, Ricky Nelson of Hurricane. A cherished grandmother to Jeff and Sommer West of Charleston, Mike and Michelle Wingett of Cross Lanes, David and April Wingett of Charleston, Tommy and Sarah Parsons of Hurricane, Shane Lappert and Brian Thomas of Charlotte, NC, Kevin and Shellie Wingett of Sissonville, Michele Lappert and Brandon Manns of Huntington, Kerri Wagner of South Charleston, Josh and Tara Nelson of Kenna, and Stephanie Nelson of Charleston. Also surviving 18 great grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; sisters, Josephine Huffman of Charleston, Eula Workman of Hurricane, Viola Elkins of Jackson, OH, Athel Frame of Lodi, OH, Betty Fredersdorff of Queenstown, MD; brother, Eugene Workman of California, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 1st, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Ned Crouch officiating. Burial will follow at Culloden Cemetery .
