Ruth Cook Bostic, 86 years old, of Dunbar, formerly of Lewisburg, WV, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, after a short illness.
She was born in Wyoming County and was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Lewis "Dry Bones" Bostic, her parents, Charles and Julia Cook of Oceana, WV and by three brothers and five sisters.
She was a faithful attendant of Dunbar Mountain Mission Church, a housewife who loved her family deeply and a dedicated and faithful wife and mother. She was a loving follower of Jesus and taught her family to love Him.
She is survived by her children: son, Dennis "Bigfoot" Bostic; daughters, Shelia Bostic Preston of Dunbar and Velma "Val" Bostic Thomas of Cross Lanes. She was a loving grandmother of eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, July 19, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Mike Harper and the Rev. Roger Pence officiating.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until service time on Saturday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 20, at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.
