Ruth Kathleen Cole's Obituary
Ruth K. "MeMaw" Cole, 89, of South Charleston, passed away Nov. 2, 2006 at the home of her daughter in Elkview, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Feb. 14, 1917 in Quinnamont, WV and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her son, Bobby J. Cole of Miami, Fla.
Surviving are her children, Paul W. Cole of Miami, Fla., Marvin L. Cole of St. Albans, Ronald G. Cole of Cross Lanes, Fate W. Cole of Franklin, Mass., Ruth A. Vertner of Elkview, Gladys L. Rose of Little Rock, AR, Jinny I. Scott of South Charleston, Sally R. Kessell of St. Albans, and Gypsy A. Sunday of Rock Hill, SC. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942, or to, Hubbard Hospice House, 1143 Dunbar Avenue, Dunbar, WV 25064.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 5, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. John Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
