Ruth Allen Gray, 88, died after a stroke on October 12, 2016.

Ruth Mae Allen was born on January 24, 1928 in St. Albans to "Dean" and Verna Allen. She grew up in Eleanor and attended Poca High School. She married Jeff D. Gray, II in 1946, and lived in Dunbar for over 65 years. Her husband preceded her in death in 2006.

Ruth is survived by her daughter V. Katherine (Gary Schoener) of Minneapolis and son Jeff D. III (Fran) of Dunbar; her grandchildren, Jeff D. IV (Lorraine) of Houston, P. Ryan of Washington, D.C., Alex Schoener of Minneapolis, and Terry Maze (BJ) of Charleston, her great grandchildren Audrey and J. Davis V of Houston and Rebecca Maze of Morgantown, and her two sisters Linda Harris (John) and Myrtle Boggess, both of Eleanor. She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 of her brothers and sisters.

Visitation is on October 22 at 1:30 with funeral at 2:30 pm at Keller Funeral Home and burial in Eleanor following the service.
