Ruth Vivian Pitchford, 79, of red House, passed away January 4, 2006 in Teays Valley Center.
She retired from the State of West Virginia, Crippled Childrens' Division, and had been a long time employee of the Diamond Department Store. She was a member of the Midway United Methodist Church, and was a former long time ressident of Dunbar, where she was a member of Dunbar First Baptist Church.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Pitchford, mother Virginia Shafer and step-father, Roy Shafer.
Ruth is survived by her son, Warren Garry Pitchford and wife Shelia of Midway; daughter, Patricia Ann Rinick and husband, James of Red House; brother, Robert Michael Walker of Winfield; grandchildren, Leigh Johns, Jimmy Rinick, Daniel Rinick, Jeff Pitchford, and Amy Landers; great grandchildren, Katie, Eric, and Krissy Johns, Anna, John, and Emily Rinick, Seth Landers, and Nicholas Pitchford.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 6th, with Pastor David Johns, Pastor Jeff Pitchford, and Pastor Kenneth Koon officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
