Sandra Kay
Farris
December 12, 1945 – December 16, 2025
On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Sandra Kay Farris 80, of Charleston, WV went home to be with our Lord after an extended illness.
Sandy was born December 12, 1945, a daughter of the late Warren and Kathleen Binion
Sandy retired from Sears optical after many years of service working as an Optician along with her best friend Regina Bays. She excelled in a position she loved, and this was evidenced by the many clients who returned to her over the years.
She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother who adored her family and gave her time, help and above all her love to us, which we will always remember and treasure. Her greatest joy was having her family around her and welcoming them into her home; she would light up with her adorable smile and infectious laughter, Sandy was loved and adored by all who met her.
She truly cherished her time with her husband and of course their nightly ritual of watching their Game Show Network!
There are not enough words to describe our heartbreak and sorrow for our loss of this truly extraordinary woman.
In addition to her parents Sandy was preceded in death by her daughters, Sherry Neely and Debbie Bands; her Grandson, Bryant Lawrence; along with many other loving family members.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Louis Farris; daughters Kelly Anderson (Pete), Bobbi Raines, and stepdaughter, Hilary Smith (Paul); her Grandchildren, Jennifer Hill (Randy), Katie Gollob (Anthony), Matthew Neely, Stephen Raines (Alyssa) Hayden and Wyatt Smith; 10 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Matt Neely; ex-husband and father of her children, Jerry Larch; as well as many other loving family members.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Thomas Memorial Hospital and Charleston Healthcare Center for their wonderful and compassionate care for our wife and mother.
A funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, WV with Pastor Andrew Neely officiating. Burial will follow at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar WV
Family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
