Sandra Hadauc Fisher, child of God, follower of Christ, departed this earthly life June 17, 2015 to be with family and friends gone before.
Born in Charleston to the late John Hadauc and Freda Britton Parker, Sandra was also predeceased by her grandmother, Cora Jane Britton and special "parents", Lloyd and Icie Vance and Tom and Gaynelle Graham.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard (Dick) Fisher, who was her support and loving caregiver; goddaughter, Kara McMillen Reed; sister, Arabella Johnson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Danny and Monna Fisher; lifelong friends, June Groves and Mary Ann McMillen; nieces, nephews, cousins, two godsons, and many, many friends who have been the recipients of her nurturing and loving care and attention.
Sandra was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School, class of 1960, and maintained friendships with many of her classmates.
Baptized at the age of 12, Sandra was a charter member of United Disciples of Christ Church (formerly Boyd Memorial Christian and First Christian Churches) where she faithfully served on many committees and boards. Her attention to detail, organizational skills, and selfless personality will be sorely missed.
Sandra especially wished to thank Betty Beeson for her companionship during her chemotherapy treatments, as well as the nurses at Hubbard Hospice House who attended her with such compassionate care, and the attention of her church family.
A celebration of Sandra's life and homegoing will take place at United Disciples of Christ Church, 100 United Disciples Drive, South Charleston, WV 25309 at 2p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 with visitation at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV 25311.
