Sandra "Sandy" Walker Harrison, 76, of Nitro, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 8, 2023.

She was born on September 24, 1946 in Charleston to the late Orville and Betty Walker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nikki Fox of Nitro, brother, Jimmy Walker of Charleston; and nephew, Brookes Walker of Charleston.

Sandra is survived by her granddaughter, Delany Witt of Tornado; grandsons, Hunter Gillespie of Tornado, Austin Sharpe of Sissonville; great-grandson, Rome Witt; brothers, Gene Walker (Carol Jarrel) of Charleston, Robbie Walker (Pam) of Huntsville, TX, Bill Walker Holderby of Marlborough, NH; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff and members of the Dunbar Center, that Sandy spoke so highly of. A special thanks to Missy and Travis Walker for watching over Sandy during the past several years.

No matter what life threw at her she fought and stood strong; she inspired us all! During this trying time, we find comfort in knowing that she is finally at peace and no longer hurting. Sandy will be greatly missed by all.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor David Keeney officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
