Sandra Kay Morris, 78, of Charleston, WV passed away in her home on Friday, June 20, 2025.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 9, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Patrick and Delia Elizabeth (Huggins) Morris.
Sandra worked for the WV Department of Motor Vehicles for over 25 years. After her retirement, she volunteered and later became an employee of Kanawha Valley Senior Services, where she brought respect, loving care, sunshine and laughter to the clients at the Adult Day center.
As a Christian, Sandra was a faithful member of Abundant Life Ministries in Charleston, WV. She never failed to mention her love for Jesus and her church family in most every conversation. Sandra loved to quote scripture, write and sing songs praising God.
Sandra "Sandy" adored and valued her friends, she never met a stranger. She was grateful to her friends for picking up her medicines, driving her to dialysis, mowing her lawn, delivering lunches, providing home maintenance, and a multitude of other selfless acts. The family wishes to thank Sandra's friends and neighbors, Connie and Tom Hudson of Kentucky, Lori and Craig Perry of Copley Garage in Charleston, WV, along with the support of the Copley Garage staff, Jeff Bibby and Michael Burdette. Friends, Shirley King, Victoria Barksdale, and the KVSS transport for the past three years, Paul Lanham. Sandra was blessed to have each of these loving people in her life. She referred to them as her "Angels".
In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Carl Morris; and four sisters, Edna Pastorious, Eleanor Dunlap, Rosalee Biery and Waleah Chadima.
Sandra is survived by one brother, Edwin E. "Chuck" Morris (Sharon) of Charlotte, NC, a sister, Mrs. Wanda Stropki of Amsterdam, Ohio, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff of Davita Dialysis for their excellent care and to Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the Morris family.
