Sarah C. "Lynn" Talley, of Nitro, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017.

She was born December 29, 1943 in Columbia, S.C. and grew up in Jacksonville, Fla. Sarah was a graduate of North Carolina State University. She was a long-time member of Cross Lanes Baptist Church and was passionate about missions.

Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Russel Talley; brother, Carlyle H. Baker III; and parents, Paul H. and Dimple Wade.

She is survived by her sister, Bonnie Manning of Jacksonville, Fla; three sons, Russel Jr. of Raleigh, N.C., Paul of Anniston, Ala., and Curtis of Sardis, Ga.; and one daughter, Dianna Lawson, of Metter, Ga; six grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. In addition, the family wishes to thank Maxine Bumgarner for all that she has done for our mother during her illness.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday January 21 at Cross Lanes Baptist Church with Pastor Seth Polk officiating.  Entombment will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Flowers are welcome in addition to memorial contributions to the WMU Foundation or Missions through Cross Lanes Baptist Church, 108 Cadle Drive, Cross Lanes, WV 25313.
