Selina Frances Allen's Obituary
Selina Frances Allen, 93, of Cross Lanes, died Sunday, October 13, 2013, of natural causes.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Selina May (Reed) Fast and her father, Howard Glen Fast; her husband, Harold Lee Allen and two sons, Albert Glen Allen and Terry Lee (Chips) Allen; and by her brothers, Jennings, Vivian, Dwight and Bob Fast.
She is survived by her son, Bob Allen and grandchildren, Tara Slater, Kristin Allen, Keith Allen, B. J. Allen, Lisa King and Kelly McFarland. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
She was a member of the Cross Lanes United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star and was a 30 year employee of Van Burens in Nitro.
She loved to dance, played golf and bowled well into her 80's. She loved her family and found something good in everyone.
The family wishes to thank Hospice for the loving care they provided her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hubbard Hospice House West, 4605-A MacCorkle Avenue, SW, South Charleston, WV 25309.
Visitation will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, and the funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. with Craig Culbertson officiating.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
