Sharlotte Beverly, 80, of South Charleston, WV, passed away, Thursday, January 21, 2010, surrounded by her family, following a long battle with lung disease.

Sharlotte was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a lifelong resident of South Charleston. She was the best of mothers, a good friend and an avid golfer. She worked for many years as an RN at Thomas Memorial Hospital and, with great passion, helped bring many precious babies into the world on the OB floor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, E. Rockwell and Millie Willie Garrett, infant daughter, Jean Ann Beverly, brother, E. Rockwell "Junior" Garrett, sisters, Christeen Cutright, Erma Frame and Billie Estes.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph Beverly, son, Jeff Beverly and his wife, Jisook, son, Marc Beverly and his wife, Gail; a very special niece, Donna Cutright; sister-in-law, Norma Garrett; brother-in-law, Lyle Beverly and his wife, June; beloved granddaughter, Nicole Beverly; grandson, Kyle Beverly and the last in a long line of faithful Boston Terriers, Gidget.

To honor Sharlotte's request, there will be no funeral service. However, there will be a gathering of family and friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, January 24, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Sharlotte's name to her favorite charities, the Union Mission of West Virginia, 700 So. Park Road, Charleston, WV 25314 or the American Lung Association of West Virginia, 415 Dickinson Street, Charleston, WV 25301.

The family would also like to recognize Sharlotte's caregivers: Judy Ray, Alicia Slater, Kellie Avins, Sandy Abbott and Roberta Kelly. Mere words cannot adequately express our gratitude. You were simply wonderful.
