Shella Sue Umhoefer, 74, of Ranger, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 9:30 p.m. at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV.

She was born November 19, 1942 in Dunbar, to the late Basil and Lockwourd Hill. She graduated in 1960 as a proud Dunbar High School Bulldog, retired in 1994 from the accounting department of AT&T, was a member of New Life Church in Huntington, and a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence Darrell, Ronald Ray, and Luster C. Hill.

Sue is survived by her husband of fifty years, Jerry Umhoefer; her four children, Kimberly (John) Major of Portsmouth, OH, Karla (Christopher) Truemper of Dixon, IL, Kristen (John) McEwing of Eagle, WI, and Gregory (Angela) Umhoefer of Belvidere, IL; her five grandchildren, Jonathan and Josef Major, Kerri Umhoefer, John and Paul McEwing; two great grandchildren, Kloey and Zoey Umhoefer; brother, C. Merrill Hill.

Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m., on Monday, April 17, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with a procession leaving at 2 p.m. for a graveside service in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
