Sherman C. Withrow, 80, of Nitro, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.

He was born on March 18, 1937, in Poca, to the late Jessie and Nora Withrow.

Sherman retired from Raleigh Junk in 1991, where he worked as a truck driver and a mechanic. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a devout Christian. He attended Faith Baptist Church in St. Albans.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Betty Louise Withrow.

He is survived by his son, Brady Withrow of St. Albans; daughters, Mary Ann Byrd (Kelly) of Kanawha City, Linda E. Gunnoe (Ricky) of Poca, Susan Rae Stewart (Robert) of Tad, Samantha Dawn Withrow of Nitro; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service with be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 27, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Fitzwater officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
