Sherry Lee Griffith, 41, of Cross Lanes, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, following her battle with cancer.

Born in New Jersey, Sherry was a life long resident of West Virginia. She attended South Charleston High School and Garnet Career Center and her last employer was Diehl's Restaurant. She was a member of the Cross Point Worship Center.

Sherry is survived by her son, Chaz Griffith at home; her mother, Kaye Eddy of Cross Lanes; her sister, Sandra Fix of South Charleston; step-father, Leon Eddy of South Charleston; step-brother, Aaron Eddy of Cross Lanes, as well as a niece, nephews, a grand niece, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 20, 2010, at the Cross Point Worship Center, 118 Poplar Fork Road in Scott Depot. The family will greet visitors one half hour prior to the service.

The family wishes to thank her many friends and the staff at Hubbard Hospice House for the loving care and attention during Sherry's illness.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Sherry's memory to the Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311 or to a charity of your choice.
