Obituary

Sherry Lynn Larch Neely, 60, of Cross Lanes, WV went home to be the Lord on Monday, May 13, 2024 after a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer.

Sherry was born March 20, 1964, a daughter of Jerry Larch and Sandy Farris.

Sherry had a strong faith in the Lord, and a beautiful heart and love for welcoming family and friends into her home which was evident in the way she welcomed them into her home for gatherings of any occasion, especially during the holidays.  Christmas time was her favorite, and walking into her home was like walking into a Winter Wonderland.  Sherry would spend over a month preparing her decorations along with the most perfect Christmas tree that had every ornament being placed meticulously on the limb where the lights had to shine "just perfectly" on them.  Her Christmas cookies were the most famous and favorite of all who ate them.  She would spend hours preparing and decorating them. Sherry's best cookies were her delicious gingerbread men. Sherry also had a love of the outdoors, and her gardening.  She enjoyed sitting outside in the beautiful weather watching for her little chipmunks or the cardinals fly by.

Sherry was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Bands; nephew, Bryant Lawrence; and mother-in-law, Jan Cummings.

In addition to her parents, Sherry is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Matt Neely; daughters, Jennifer Hill (Randy) and Katie Gollob (Anthony); son, Matthew Neely; stepfather, Louis Farris; sisters, Kelly Anderson (Pete) and Bobbi Raines along with Bobbi's son, Stephen; stepsister, Hilary Farris Smith (Paul); best friend and bonus sister, Vickie Russell; grandchildren who were the lights of her life whom she loved and adored, Brandon, Annabell, Taylor, Madelyn, Elliana, Chloe, Mason, Jaxson, Marlee, and Negan; along with other loving family and friends.

Sherry will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with, her brother-in-law, Pastor Andrew Neely officiating.  Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
