Shirley Jean Brasseur, 89, of Charleston, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

She was born on May 25, 1936 in Charleston, to the late Robert and Nellie Shock.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph (Mike) Brasseur, and
her husband and friend Joseph D. Brasseur.

Shirley is survived by her sons, David Brassuer (Jennifer), Barry Brassuer (Nancy); grandchildren, David Brassuer, Allyson Brasseur, Barrett Turecki, Matthew and Micheal Brasseur; sister, Wanda Jarvis and half sister Barbara Leding.

The family would like to thank her awesome caregivers, Lisa Green, Ann Godbey, and the hospice caregivers.

There are no services scheduled at this time.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
