Silas Ray Sampson's Obituary
Silas Ray Sampson, 79, of Saint Albans, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012.
Silas was retired and enjoyed spending his time listening to music and playing guitar. He was a very caring person who would do anything he could to help someone. He was loved and will be missed by everyone that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William P. and Christine Sampson; and brother, David Sampson.
Silas is survived by his nieces and nephews who he claimed as his children, Shelia Fields of St. Albans, Keith Sampson, James Sampson, Jack Sampson all of Rhome, Texas; brothers, Donald Sampson of South Charleston, Bill Sampson of CA; and niece and nephews Freda, Robert, Ricky, Ronnie, and Anna. He is also survived by several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 14, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Reverend James Abner officiating. Burial will follow at Shultz Cemetery, South Charleston.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
