Sondra Fowler Nelson, 74, of Scott Depot, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2008 at home after a long illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Frances McBrayer Fowler, her husband Charley Nelson, Jr. and her sister Mary Ellen Thomas.

She is survived by her children Danny Nelson and his wife Lola of Albany, Ohio, Brenda Hill and her husband Bryan of Poca, Bobbi Nelson and Tammy Taaffe of Scott Depot, Timothy Nelson of St. Albans and Charley Nelson, III of South Charleston. She is also survived by her brother, Gene Fowler and wife Ella of Modesto, CA, brother, Bobby Jack Fowler of Parkersburg, her sister Jo Ann Hill and her husband Jr. Hill and 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 20, at Nelson Family Cemetery, Ranger, WV.

Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, October 19, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
