Obituary

Stanley Thompson, 67, of St. Albans, entered eternal rest on November 29, 2021 due to complications from COVID-19. His loving daughter and niece were by his side. His only daughter felt his heartbeat for the last time.

He was a proud veteran that had an artistic ability that was absolutely without measure. His art work, whether it be on canvas, clothes or motorcycle tanks, was flawless.

Stanley, we love you with all our hearts and will miss you terribly. The sound of your laughter, we will never forget.

He was preceded in death by his beautiful and precious wife, Glenda Thompson; parents, Dora and Donald Thompson; brother, Phillip Thompson; sisters, Sonja Thompson and Gloria Saunders; son, Stanley Thompson Jr.; and his best friend of 50 years, Allen "Bud" Wileman. The bond they had was remarkable. The day Bud passed, Stanley lost a part of himself and he felt the emptiness daily.

Stanley is survived by his children, Mike Haber (Sherri) of Nitro, Banita Eads (Anthony) of Tornado, Shane Thompson of St. Albans, and Michael Thompson (Bella) of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Roger Thompson of Charleston, Jerry Thompson of Eleanor, and Greg Thompson (Becca) of St. Albans.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
