Stephen "Stevie" Mayes, 34, of Charleston, passed away June 29, 2019.

He loved his sons with all of his heart. Stevie was an avid WVU fan.

Stevie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Opal and Charles Leach; grandfather, Jim Mayes Sr.; and great grandparents, Mabel and Olen Bonnett.

He is survived by his mother, Susan Mayes; father, Jimmy Mayes; sons, Talan G. Mayes and Tucker A. Cain; brothers, Joseph "Joey" Mayes, Keith Johnston and Scott Canterbury; sister, Michelle Martin; grandparents, Shirley Mayes Hill and Michial Hill; along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 5, at Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston with Pastor Aaron Finney officiating.

Friends may visit from 2-4 p.m. at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with a procession leaving at 4 p.m. to go to cemetery.
