Sue was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Dunbar United Methodist Church. She retired from Columbia Natural Resources as a Drilling Analyst with many years of service. She was born on February 28, 1932 and a resident of Dunbar for 53 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles , and her daughter Susan Elkins Cupit.

She is survived by three sons, Steve and his wife Cindy, of Nashville, TN, Kevin and Doug , of Dunbar; and son-in-law, Gordon Cupit of South Charleston. Sue was blessed with three grandchildren, Chad, of Charleston, SC, Jason and his wife Amanda of Nashville, TN and Emily of Brooklyn, NY. She is also survived by her sisters, Jackie Heywood of Chapel Hill, NC and Barbara Smith of Lebanon, TN and stepbrother Bob Burgess of Culloden.

A visitation with the family to celebrate Sue's life will be held from 12 to 2 p.m., Thursday, August 29, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m., Thursday, with the Rev. Mark Jarrell officiating. Burial will be in Emma Chapel Cemetery, Liberty, WV.
