Sylvia Mease Belcher, 67, of Dunbar, peacefully passed away on July 23, 2010, at the Hubbard Hospice House.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sylvia Gray Mease and her grandparents, Robert and Evelyn Mease and Benjamin and Virginia Gray.
Sylvia graduated from Charleston High School and Center Business College. She is retired from United National Bank in Dunbar.
Sylvia was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend. She loved her precious "little ones" Bobbles and Missy. She enjoyed cross stitch, gardening, scrap booking and the Bee Gees.
Sylvia is leaving behind to cherish her memories her loving husband, John "Jay" Belcher, her sister, Ella Mullins and fiance Butch Graley, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Tamara Mease and Jack and Betty Mease. She is also leaving behind her husband's children, Debbie Knight, Stanley and John Belcher and loving grandchildren Jean Keyer and husband, Dean and Jessica Tyler. Sylvia is leaving behind to cherish her memories her loving nieces Alexa Mease-White and husband, Owen, Blair, Kelli and Sarah Mease, great nieces and nephews, Brennan, Ashton, Whitney, Hunter and Jaxon White. She is also leaving behind loving uncles, aunts, cousins and numerous cherished friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family wishes to express their sincere Thank You to the staff and volunteers at Hubbard Hospice House for the exceptional work that they do. A special Thank You to Rev. Pete Thompson, for somehow always seeming to mysteriously know just when we are thinking of him. We were truly blessed when he came into our lives.
A memorial service will be held at Keller Funeral Home in Dunbar on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Pete Thompson officiating.
Friends and family may gather one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Dr., Charleston, WV 25311.
